Process — Cutting
Precision starts at the cut. Fibre laser and CNC cutting from approved DXF, nested for efficiency and first-article inspected to ±0.5 mm — clean, perpendicular, burr-free edges ready for forming and finishing.
Every downstream step inherits the cut — so a clean, accurate, burr-free edge isn't a detail, it's the foundation of the whole piece.
We cut from approved DXF files on fibre laser and CNC equipment, with efficient nesting to make the most of each sheet and keep material waste low.
The first piece of every batch is inspected to ±0.5 mm and checked burr-free before the full run proceeds — and minimum hole sizes respect the material thickness, so geometry holds up through fabrication.
What we do
From file to flawless blank, checked before the batch runs.
Fast, clean cutting of stainless, aluminium and more — fine detail with tight, repeatable accuracy.
Programmed paths from approved DXF for consistent, repeatable parts across the batch.
Parts are nested to maximise sheet yield and minimise material waste.
The first piece is checked to ±0.5 mm and burr-free before the full batch runs.
Why it matters
First-article inspection to ±0.5 mm keeps every part true to the drawing.
Edges are perpendicular and clean, ready for forming, welding and finishing.
Intricate cut-outs, perforations and lettering with crisp definition.
Smart nesting reduces waste and keeps cost down on larger runs.
CNC programming makes part 1 and part 1,000 identical.
Accurate blanks mean accurate folds — precision compounds through the line.
How we control it
Accuracy is verified, not assumed — the geometry comes from the approved file and is proven on piece one.
Cutting runs from the approved DXF — the single source of truth for geometry.
Layouts are reviewed for yield and part orientation before cutting.
The first piece is verified to ±0.5 mm, burr-free, before the batch proceeds.
Post-cutting is one of our four mandatory QC hold points with stop-authority.
Good to know
| Process | Fibre laser and CNC cutting from approved DXF files. |
| Materials | Stainless steel SS304 / SS316, aluminium and other sheet metals. |
| Tolerance | First-article inspection to ±0.5 mm; perpendicular, burr-free edges. |
| Minimum hole | Not less than the material thickness (e.g. 3 mm sheet → 3 mm minimum hole). |
| Efficiency | Nesting to maximise sheet yield and reduce waste. |
| Output | Accurate blanks ready for bending, welding and finishing. |
